Each person\u2019s experience with sickle cell disease is unpredictable and no two individuals with sickle cell will bear every complication possible. The term&nbsp;<strong>sickle cell anemia<\/strong>&nbsp;is used to describe&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sc101.org\/sicklepedia\/hemoglobin\/\">hemoglobin<\/a>&nbsp;SS and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sc101.org\/sicklepedia\/hemoglobin\/\">hemoglobin<\/a>&nbsp;S\u03b20Thalassemia, both of which are considered the most severe types of sickle cell disease.&nbsp; Most research in men\u2019s health and on sickle cell disease, in general, has been among those with sickle cell anemia.
