Understanding Drug Development in Sickle Cell is a collaborative educational initiative between Sickle Cell 101 and Pfizer Inc. created to close knowledge gaps in the sickle cell community about the complex journey of drug development. Through Sickle Cell 101’s digital platforms, this initiative will explain each step of the process, from clinical trials to regulatory approval and treatment access. Content is presented in clear, accessible language to help patients, caregivers, and advocates understand how new therapies are developed and made available. This collaboration is rooted in trust, transparency, and empowerment. It builds understanding of the drug development process, strengthens trust between the community and drug developers, and provides timely insights into the evolving research and treatment landscape.
